  As someone exploring home ownership for the first time in 2025, I’ve been hearing a lot of conflicting advice. Friends tell me I’ll never qualify without a perfect credit score, while family insists I need decades of savings just for a down payment. The more I read, the more I wonder! how much of this is true, and how much is just myth carried forward? What mortgage myths do you still hear people believing in 2025?
